Canon's adaptation of MPEG-2 for the XF300 Professional Camcorder, named the Canon XF Codec, The XF300 supports the highest HD quality with Full HD 1920*1080 resolution, up to 50Mbps bit rate and 4:2:2 color sampling.For added versatility, XF300 can be customized to record in both 60i/50i, 60p/50p, and 24p/25p (this optional upgrade must be performed by a Canon Factory Service Center).
