"That kind of championship pedigree is something you can't take lightly," Kroenke said. "With both Patrick and Brian, there's a process to winning. You have Nike Lunar Hyperdunk to lay a foundation. You have to have that in the front of your mind on a daily basis and build toward it."This played a part in the decision to bring in Shaw, too: With the Pacers, he played an integral part in developing young players such as Nike Air Yeezy 2 Paul George. The Nuggets are youthful, boasting the third-youngest team in the league last season."I love this roster. I think it is young, fresh and energetic," Shaw said.Shaw also believes this team is close to contending now."The 57 wins during the regular season were a great story, but I'm accustomed to playing and going far in the playoffs and playing into June," Shaw said. "That is something that is going to be emphasized and stressed on a daily basis. I'm looking forward to working with these guys and start planting that seed." Sixth Man of the Year J.R. Smith has informed the New York Knicks that he will decline the option in his contract for next season and become a free agent.A team spokesman also says Tuesday the Knicks extended a qualifying offer to forward Chris Copeland, making him a restricted free agent and allowing them to match any offer he receives.Smith's decision was not a surprise given that he can make much more than the $2.9 million he was scheduled to earn next season. The New Jersey product is happy in New York and is a longtime teammate of Carmelo Anthony so he would likely want to stay with the right offer.Smith averaged 18.1 points in 80 regular-season games but his horrendous 29 percent shooting and poor decisions over the final eight postseason games could scare off potential suitors. After weeks of negotiations and intrigue, Doc Rivers has officially left the Boston Celtics for the Los Angeles Clippers.Rivers will be introduced as the Clippers' new coach and senior vice president of basketball operations at a news conference Wednesday at their Playa Vista training complex, capping a lengthy process by completing a rare trade involving a championship-winning coach. The Clippers and Celtics finalized the move Tuesday when the NBA approved the deal. Boston will get an unprotected first-round pick in 2015 from the Clippers for Rivers, who went 416-305 and won the 2008 NBA title during nine seasons with the Celtics.Boston's front office mostly had warm words for Rivers after he took Nike Lunar Hyperdunk 2012 off for his exciting new team on the West Coast, apparently not eager to stick around for the aging Celtics' rebuilding Nike Air Yeezy 2 for sale process."We don't have a championship without Doc Rivers coaching," said Danny Ainge, the Celtics' president of basketball operations. "He did an unbelievable job. He has a long history of great success with us in the last nine years, and we wish him the best in Los Angeles."Rivers is likely to be the NBA's highest-paid coach with the deal, and he'll also have a prominent role in the Clippers' front office with his additional title. Clippers owner Donald Sterling will expect impressive results for such an investment, but his long-suffering franchise has never been in better shape on the court - providing Los Angeles re-signs Chris Paul, who is eligible for a five-year contract worth nearly $108 million in July. Paul is widely expected to stick with the Clippers, and Rivers' arrival might cinch the deal.
