Your Golf Swing: It's All in the Wrists

The wrists are essentially the last active joint connecting your body to your club and thus have the ability to make or break your swing regardless of what the rest of the body is doing. Let's give these crucial joints some attention so they follow suit when you make a perfect swing with the rest of the joints in your body. Keep your wrist on your front arm straight with your forearm during your entire swing with r11 irons. This is the same position you would use for a karate chop or a handshake. The reason you want this position is because it's actually by far the strongest one for the wrist. Any bend in the wrist towards the inside or the outside will cut down on your usability of the powerful flexor muscles in the forearm that affect the wrist. Breaking at the wrists is fine if it's done at the appropriate time. That being said, the appropriate time will rarely be a time you should be consciously influencing. The wrists should break after you contact the ball unless you're trying to hit a fancy shot of some kind. If they break before you've hit the ball with taylormade r11 irons , you're dispersing power in much the same way you would if you broke your wrists just before hitting a baseball or buckling your knees as you go to jump. The obvious result is a loss of energy and possible injury in some of the more severe cases. The tricky thing with a golf swing is that we're at such a power advantage with the club over the ball that it's easy to get away with a little breakage during or just before contact. To avoid breakage or premature release of the wrists, think of creating centrifugal force throughout your downswing and follow-through. This is how great ball strikers are born. They're master of this idealism with when swinging r11 irons . If you have the idea of extending to full length as you swing down and through the ball making the most of the centrifugal force you generate throughout your whole swing right to the finish, you'll start to feel all kinds of good sensations regarding movement and timing. You'll feel more extension out from your body towards the ball and you should also feel the taylormade r11 irons lagging slightly which will hold your wrists back as the other joints in the body carry the heavier load. This is what you're after because you want the bigger joints to do the work versus the small ones like the wrists until the very last second. So, all you have to do is work on stretching things out when you swing and elongate towards and through the ball and it will be almost impossible to get the wrists more involved than they should be.
